Speed of my car...Engine?

I have a 2011 Camaro 2SS, and ive had it for 8 months now, and its a manual transmission. But when i first got it, i didnt "break it in" but i just went up to the 6,200 RPM redline, and it was fast, and pulled me the hell back in my seat, now it seems realllllly slow compared to before, is there anything i can do to revitalize the engine or something??
