Questions about redlining on a car..?

An occasional blip to the redline shouldn't kill a mechanically sound engine.It's not good for it though.The thing you need to consider is the age/mileage of your engine.The more wear it has on it the greater the chance that redlining it will harm it.A high mileage engine should be kept away from the redline.That goes for any engine not just a Japanese car.
