Gerbils VS Hamsters, pros and cons of both?

I want some information on gerbils and hamsters, and facts on them and any tips you have from when you might have owned one of these or both of them, any information is good, but please just don't send me a link to some website or tell me to google it because if I wanted to just google something I would, I want people's opinions and personal experience with these animals, thanks in advance!
